State of Oregon Health Standards

Aligned to national standards, Oregon’s health standards and benchmarks support health, wellbeing, and safety of students. Comprehensive Sexuality Health Plan

Teacher Guidelines for Handling Sensitive Topics

For sensitive topics, 教师应该只对课程进行澄清, not subject matter that extends beyond lesson plans. Questions should be addressed in age-appropriate, medically accurate ways, aligned with the adopted curriculum. 不增加补充的健康课程和材料. 有些问题将交由顾问处理或私下解决, 例如，当一个学生泄露了引起安全担忧的信息.

Opt Out Process

At the middle level, 健康教师将在每三个月的开始发送一份家长沟通与教学大纲的概述, including a list of all topics that are covered.  In addition to this, 在整个3个月的时间里，父母的交流将被发送出去，包括提醒和一些家庭可能认为敏感的话题的具体信息.
